Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) with physical part taking place in Hannover, Germany

Leibniz University Hannover, Faculty of Economics and Management is excited to announce the next edition of an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) focused on the crucial United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): 

This innovative program, conceived in collaboration with the listed partner universities below, is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to support their active participation in both academic and extra-curricular activities.

Structure of the BIP Course

  • Physical part at Leibniz University Hannover, Germany (Dates: June 16-26, 2026):

    This course will introduce students to the field of International Management and Economics. Topics will include:

    Part 1) Sustainable Finance:
    The course introduces students to key concepts and mechanisms in sustainable finance, focusing on the intersection of financial markets, environmental sustainability, and regulatory frameworks. It explores how financial systems can support sustainable development through responsible investment strategies and regulatory compliance.

    Part 2) Business Systems, CSR and Business Ethics:
    The part provides an introduction into National Business Systems and Comparative Industrial Relations. It thus provides insights into different economic cultures and strategies to address differences between business systems.

    Part 3) World Trade:
    The part covers a range of topics including the drivers of economic growth, the contribution of natural resources and ecosystem services to economic growth and development, the effects of economic growth and development on the sustainable management of natural resources and the environment.
     

    In-person sessions Location: Leibniz University Hannover, Faculty of Economics and Management, Königsworther Platz 1 , 30167 Hannover, Germany

  • Virtual session (Date: June 10th, 2026, Time: 1pm-2pm):

    The virtual training will take part before the physical. This will focus on some technical preparations that will facilitate the physical activities.

  • Recommended Arrival Date:

    Attention: It is recommended that participants arrive in Hannover on June 15, as the organisers will be holding a City Walk on the afternoon of June 15.

  • Credits – ECTS:
    • Upon successful completion of the BIP Program, students will earn 5 ECTS credit points 
    • Acceptance of these ECTS credit points within students’ academic curricula is contingent upon their respective home universities’ policies.
    • Prior to program enrollment, students are encouraged to consult with study counselors or  local coordinators.
    • Completion of the program will be documented in the diploma supplement.

The following call for applications is open until 22.03.2026.

Students are required to submit all the required documents by the application deadline.


GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Participation Eligibility and Fee
    • Undergraduate (Bachelor) studentsof Erasmus+ partner universities in the field of management, Business administration, economics or similar,
    • Graduate (Master) students of Erasmus+ partner universities in the field of management, Business administration, economics or similar

    PARTICIPATION FEE

    • Participation is free of charge: During the physical learning week, the organisers will cover the costs of excursions, certificates of participation, study materials, coffee breaks, snacks, as well as a diverse cultural programme. Participants will also be given University Canteen Cards, providing substantial discounts.
    • Participants are responsible for covering their own accommodation, transportation, and meals, though they may apply for the Erasmus grant offered by their home university. Interested students should contact to their Erasmus Coordinator or the EULiSt coordinator for more information on financing possibilities.
  • Application Process

    1) To apply for the BIP Course, please submit the following documents:

    • Filled and signed application form;
    • Official academic transcript of records of your current study programme;
    • Proof of English language proficiency at least B2 level (if English is not your mother tongue);
    • Certificate of enrollment from one of our partner universities;
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV);
    • Copy of your passport;
    • Motivation letter (max. 1 page). 

    2) Submit your application via email:

    Send your application form and documents as PDF files in a single email to Berit Sellmer at guest@wiwi.uni-hannover.de by March 22nd, 2026!

    3) Wait for confirmation:

    By April 2026, you will receive final confirmation of your participation in the BIP course, along with further instructions.
