Professor of Macroeconomics
Brief description
Macroeconomics deals with the performance, structure, and behavior of the economy as a whole. Macroeconomists study and seek to understand the determinants of aggregate trends in the economy with particular focus on national income, unemployment, inflation, investment, and international trade.
Besides general Macroeconomics at the Bachelor level we give regularly courses in Growth and Development Theory, Business Cycle Theory, International Trade, Environment- and Resource Economics, Macroeconomics and Politics, and International Political Economy. Most teaching material is available in English. Some courses are taught in English.
Research topics of our institute include: Social structure, social conflict, and economic development; Income distribution and government growth; Long-term unemployment; Corporate taxation and economic growth; Health, population dynamics, and growth; and Bio-economics.
